CRAFTING MODERN FURNITURE
Glenlake Studio creates custom furniture and cabinetry that balance modern form with everyday function. Each commission begins with the client, the architecture and the way the finished piece needs to live. Digital design tools help refine the idea; careful material selection and hands-on craft bring it into the world.
OUR BEGINNING
The studio began in 2020, when founder Troy Perment started working cedar by hand at home. Japanese tools and techniques encouraged a focus on precision, patience and quality. Small projects grew into beds, cabinetry and original furniture for friends and family—and ultimately into a studio built to take on ambitious custom work.
Craft was already part of the family story: Troy’s father spent three decades building furniture and was known for his ingenuity. Glenlake Studio carries that respect for making forward, pairing it with Troy’s background in data, AI and technology.
MEET THE TEAM
FOUNDER
After more than 20 years in executive technology roles with organizations including AWS, Google and GM, Troy left corporate life to pursue his passion for designing and building exceptional furniture and cabinetry. He leads product design, engineering and fabrication.
